Kevin Richardson
President
Kevin has 48 years of experience in the electrical construction industry. He graduated at the top of his class from the Apprenticeship Training School in 1981. He earned his Master Electrical license in 1981.Kevin has either managed or owned an electrical contracting firm for the last 35 years. Kevin started Kevco Electrical Construction, Inc. in 1994. His current job duties are sales and management of Kevco Electrical. He oversees all aspects of this company, from estimating, project management to quality control.
JIMMIE R. SMITH JR
CEO
With more than two decades of experience, Jimmie R. Smith Jr. has built a career leading complex projects from concept through execution. His background spans renewable energy and major capital construction, where he has earned a reputation for strategic leadership, operational excellence, and delivering results. He is committed to developing strong teams, fostering client partnerships, and executing projects with the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.
Chuck Beasley
VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS
Chuck serves as Vice President of Operations at Kevco Electrical, bringing over 42 years of experience in the electrical industry. He oversees all projects and leads daily operations with a strong work ethic, technical expertise, and a collaborative approach that fosters lasting relationships with customers and staff. Since earning his Master Electrical License in 1999, Chuck has been a driving force behind Kevco’s success, contributing valuable insight and leadership across the board.
Chuck is highly proficient in computer estimating software and Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), which he uses to support Design Build and Engineering initiatives. His ability to blend hands-on experience with advanced technical tools makes him an indispensable asset to the team.
Robert Schatz
Senior Estimator
Robert served in the U.S. Army and was recruited by Kevin Richardson out of Fort Hood in 1998. Robert attended and graduated the IEC Apprenticeship School in Dallas, TX. Robert has 20 years of experience in the electrical industry.Robert oversees all estimating for Kevco Electrical and is the company’s IT person. Robert has exceptional computer skills and is proficient in computer based estimating software. Robert handles all our Design Build projects from design, engineering to CAD lay out and drawings.
Keith Howen
VICE PRESIDENT OF PRE-CONSTRUCTION
Keith has over 30 years of estimating experience in the electrical construction industry. Keith has been to be proven mentor and group leader who excels in lean processes. Possesses exceptional written and oral communication skills. Six Sigma Lean Black Belt Professional (LBBP). Possessing strong problem solving and common-sense attributes. Keith has exceptional skills in computer based estimating software which make him a valuable team member.
Ron Smiley
Vice President/Service and Safety Manager
Ron has been with Kevco since 2015 and has over 30 years of electrical experience. Ron graduated in 1998 from the IEC Apprenticeship Program in Fort Worth, Texas. As Service Manager, he provides great leadership when working with our Service Techs. He also has extensive knowledge in providing quotes, job tracking and invoicing. In the role of Special Projects Manager, he is very detail oriented while managing multiple projects. He has excellent communication skills and completes the job(s) in a timely manner.
John Powers
Assistant Service Manager/Estimator
John has over 8 years of experience and has recently been promoted to Assistant Service Manager. He has been with Kevco Electrical since 2014. John attended and completed the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) Apprenticeship Program in Dallas, Texas. While attending, he received the IEC Outstanding Apprentice 2014-2018 Award and finished 4th overall in the National IEC Apprentice of the Year Competition. John also contributes to the estimating department.
Oscar Miranda
Estimator
Oscar has over 8 years of experience in the electrical trade, coupled with a passion for precision estimating. As a Licensed Journeyman Electrician, he understands the intricacies of electrical systems and construction processes. his background in web-app based development equips him with a unique perspective. He knows the ins and outs of construction software, including tools like Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Excel, and ConEst. Oscar doesn’t rely on guesswork. His approach is data-driven, analyzing project details meticulously. Whether it’s a Design Build or an Engineered project, Oscar combines his electrical trade expertise with his computer skills to generate high-quality estimates.
Erin Seely
Controller
Erin has over 30 years experience in Accounting, Finance, and Auditing. She is a former CPA and Accounting Coordinator for the Department of Justice, Department of Labor, Department of Human Services, and OSHA and recently retired from Government service after 22 years to return to the private sector.
Erin was recently recognized nationally for her diligence, accuracy, and her commitment to excellence and integrity. Erin strives to find ways to improve processes, create innovative approaches to accounting and finance, and to always maintain financial integrity and accountability for the company, its employees, customers, and stakeholders.
Mauricio Ocura

HR Manager
Mauricio is our HR Manager. He has over 30 years of accounting and finance proficiency. He has experience in construction and service. Mauricio is highly skilled in various types of software and proficient in office management. He has a passion for helping our business achieve growth, profitability and continued success. He is outgoing, friendly and resilient.
Lehi zitting
Service Area Manager
Lehi started with Kevco Electrical in 2021. He has over 22 years of electrical, construction, and safety experience. As a service technician. Lehi built customer relationships which help our customers to better understand their electrical needs.
In 2023, Lehi was promoted to Service Area Manager. He is responsible for small quotes, managing small projects, and relationship development within our Kevco Medical Division.
Scott Strasner
Director of Business Development
Scott is a dynamic Business Development leader with over 12 years of experience across strategic sales. Scott has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Fullerton, and further business, marketing, and finance education. Scott’s diverse design and client development background provides a unique skillset for our projects.He has driven efficiency by implementing CRM systems, defining sales KPIs, and aligning departmental goals with broader company strategies. He is especially passionate about mentoring teams, building sustainable partnerships, and delivering client satisfaction from concept through completion.

Special Projects Manager / Safety
Dependable, dedicated, passionate, and professional Master Electrician experienced in estimating and project management. Authorized OSHA instructor. Buddy provides quality results in a timely, cost-effective, and profitable manner. Buddy demonstrates accuracy and precision in the electrical industry and has attributes that lead to quality projects. Driven to show initiative for continuous progression for the company.
Matt Hazelwood
Estimator
Matt is a seasoned Estimator with over 25 years of expertise in commercial electrical construction. His experience spans diverse sectors, including education, healthcare, and commercial remodels. Known for his precision, speed, and cost-conscious approach, Matt consistently supports profitable, on-time project delivery. At Kevco, he leverages his industry knowledge and core strengths to produce accurate and efficient estimates that drive successful outcomes from bid to build.
MICHAEL JENKINS
Senior PROJECT MANAGER
Michael has over 25 years in the electrical construction industry, including 18 years in project management. He specializes in complex project delivery, safety and quality assurance, and strategic labor and resource planning. His experience spans the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction submittals through closeout.
